Halakha and responsa
A book of responsa arranged by the four Turim, which also includes responses of the sages of the period and letters with his friend and opponent Rabbi Yaakov Prag’i. The book’s influence was great throughout the East and also on Ashkenazi sages, and the author of the Be’er Heitev cites it many times.
One of the rabbis of Egypt in the 17th century, born there around 1650, who died in 1712. He served as a judge and then was chosen head of the rabbis of Egypt in Cairo, and filled the place of his father, Rabbi Mordechai HaLevi, author of Darkhei Noam, as head of the yeshiva and president of the rabbinical court in Rosetta. He wrote the responsa Ginat Vradim, arranged by the four Turim, which were published after his death and were very influential throughout the East and also on Ashkenazi sages.
The archive doesn’t yet record Rabbi Avraham HaLevi’s teachers, so the road to Sinai can’t be drawn yet.
